Undurraga Wineries was founded in 1885 in Talagante – in the Maipo Valley - about 35 miles from Santiago, Chile. The winery received ships of Cabernot Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Gewurztraminer from Europe and it was exporting wine to the US eight years later. The Undurraga brand is now seen in 60 countries worldwide, spanning five continents.
Undurraga has vineyards in three wine valleys in Chile; two each in the Maipo Valley and Colchagua Vallies and one in the San Antonio Valley; this enables the Winery to develop its vineyards to excel in the cultivation and the production of the finest grapes.
The Undurraga Winery is especially skilled in the production of Sparkling Wine and compares its produce with seduction, beauty and good taste. Such flavours as Brut Royal, Brut Supreme, Rose, Brut and Demi Sec and all come recommended.
The Winemaking Cellar in Talagante is one of the most modern of its kind in the world. This is where the wine gains its outstanding character, as it going thru the process of fermentation, aging and bottling. Many of the processes are computer-controlled to guarantee consistency with all of its internationally acclaimed wines.
